Compliance... How it all works ?

Firstly you have to make sure that the vehicle you are going to import is in good condition, and is a standard vehicle.
It is our job as the RAW (Registered Automotive Workshop) to ensure that each vehicle is in a standard condition, and that the vehicle meets ALL rules and regulations, so that the compliance work can be carried out.

Under the new Government regulations, a RAW is required to perform the ADR compliance process to meet the DOTARS (Department of Transport and Regional Services) and VSS (Vehicle Safety Standards), instructions and guidelines.

If there is any cost involved in reverting the vehicle to the Original Manufacturers condition, it is at the expense of the owner of the vehicle. The RAW will import the vehicle however the client that has come to us to import the vehicle is the owner.

The vehicle also has to have a RWC before the RAW submits the VIC (Vehicle Inspection Certificate) to DOTARS & VSS. If there are items listed on the RWC they have to be repaired before the VIC can be submitted.

Any cost involved in repairing the vehicle to meet the RWC, it is at the expense of the owner of the vehicle.
